    Hey Guys,
I've been seeing a lot of great deals on SD 1gb cards lately and I know how much some of these threads really influenced me getting one and now with all the space I have now I've been very much satisfied and grateful.
Newegg has the Kingmax 60x 1gb SD card for $89 + $2 shipping. very good price and I think this is the fastest SD card available (speed ##x wise).

remmeber - newegg sometimes raises prices and then "notifies" you when it's available again/out of stock, so jump on this while you can!

A bunch of the reviewers point out how thin and light this card is (as if that's an issue!) and one reviewer says, "Yes this is thinner than a standard SD card, but works fine in my Treo 600 with a minimum of fiddling."

What do you suppose that means? Is the speed really that much better to warrant fiddling?

Yeah i didn't get that one ....Why is he fiddling if the card is thinner.... hmmmm.

he might be taking an exactoknife to the end and cutting it down a bit... so the pop out debacle doesnt happen. thinner is interesting... the pqi 1gb seems thicker and more prone to stay in the slot then out of it, but i have had it pop out once or twice when i put the treo in the case and push my thumb down :/
but 60x is good for speed! i really like the DROP in prices lately i've been waiting for the 1gb for so long and i didnt think i'd get one this early in the year... great for my treo 600 and Minolta camera
    320x240 @30fps and 25minutes of video! :>

I had purchased the Transcend 45x 1gb. I was disapointed. It is slow when running Pocket Tunes.

    hopefully the 60x is better

I read a story once about one of these getting stuck in a T600. I've since been leery. Please post your results--I'd like to buy one if it works out OK.

Hey, GREAT FIND! Man I love NewEgg. I've spent nearly $30k there in the last couple years, and just sent $89 more. I wish the 2GB or larger SD cards would become available, I have to have more memory to support my growing ebook library!

    Thanks Sledgie!

Where did you read this ...I looked it up but the only place that seems to mention it getting stuck was Treo central and that was someone saying they read somewhere that someone thinks they read somewhere that it might stick a little.. If you can find a review that would be great ..

    Jstanovic,
are you sure it's from the 1gb SD card? Most cards that speed have no problem with pocket tunes - what do you mean by slow? Do you mean when you run applications other than Pocket Tunes at the same time it is sluggish? Elaborate please

Bah, I just bought that exact same card from newegg last week for twenty dollars more!! There was no "fiddling" involved whatsoever, it's just a normal SD card like my last one. Nothing strange, no issues, has worked perfectly as expected so far. Just lots and lots of space. The first thing I did was put every U.S. NES ROM on there and every U.S. Game Gear ROM for NesEm and Gizmo. Along with Monty Python and the Holy Grail, some palm apps and mp3s, I still have half the card left. Lol.

You can't go wrong with NewEgg. I've been buying computer parts of every kind from them for 3 years now, on average about 2 computers worth a month (sometimes more) and their customer service and RMA policy (not what they have posted on the site but what they actually do) is unmatched in the industry as far as I'm concerned. I've never had one problem with them regarding fast shipping, rebates, returns, etc. No, I don't work for them, nor do they pay me to market for them. They are truly a company worth doing business with.
