terrible if regretably predicable news. Sad sad sad for the future of the Palm OS platform if they don't smartin up before the release.

Not that most folks in this forum will care. The majority here don't use WiFi and insist that no one else have it as an option either. They are like republicans in that way: if they don't want something for themselves (the right marry freely, the right to choose abortion...) they are determined to deny it to everyone.

abortion is ending a life(murder) hardly a valid comparison to wifi. my 2 cents

please don't make comparison of republicans to palm1 in terms of choice of wi-fi. I think the term you are seeking is "socialist" or "communist" (something democrats are more akin to).

basically palm1 is JUST PLAIN STUPID re wi-fi.

and re : abortion, taking a life is always not murder...legally there are different definitions (manslaughter, etc.)

abortion is a woman's choice and not something done lightly. You would know this if you had any experience with the issue.

How about you keep this crap in the Off Topic section where it belongs. You politcal opinions have nothing to do with P1 and wifi. That was the lamest attempt to bait soemone into a political discussion I think I have ever seen.

And I would like you to provide the link where someone here has insisted that no one else have it as an option.

And you want wifi, dont buy a treo. Duh!

At the risk of digifying an already moronic thread, it's been pretty much a foregone conclusion that the Ace wouldn't have WiFi since the very leaks of the product. No one's "insisted" that the 650 should lack WiFi; only that most peoples' purchase is not predicated on its inclusion. Look at every "No WiFi - No Sale" thread on these boards, and you'll find the same consensus repeater over and over: WiFi is preferred, but not essential.

Lol, "don't buy a Treo." Very simple solution, and I'd do it if the Treo wasn't the only device that supplies me with what I need.

What if my cable provider just dropped ESPN and I wanted ESPN. Should I skip getting cable all together. No. Nor should I just be content that they dropped ESPN.

Well, if the 650 supports the higher speed data connections, the wifi may not hold much ballast anyway.

I really do hate playing the waiting game. . .

abortion is a woman's choice because it is legal. I am aware that there are different legal definitions concerning the ending of lives. You also do not know what I do or do not have experience with ! I just shot a quick jab because I could not believe someone regardless of beliefs/opinions would compare "right" to abortion to"right" to have wi-fi in the treo 650. Anyone that thinks stopping the heartbeat of an unborn baby (no matter how hard the "choice" is) and having wi-fi in a modern smartphone is a twisted individual. This is my opinion.

This thread took a turn for the worse right out of the gate! Sorry guys, but discuss abortion in it's own thread in off topic if you want. Closed.
