    Hi,
Is the IMAP Idle thing that chatter needs for Push something that can be turned on if it is not on or what exactly controls whether you have the Idle command or not?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Your email host server has to support it.

Hi Mark! (if you are who I think you are, I've done business with you before)

IDLE is usually a server thing that you cant really enable or disable. It's a feature that is there or it isn't.

Ok, not the response that I wanted to hear, but, that's the way it is... It says my mail server does not do the Idel thing so I guess I cannot have that. I was hoping that this was something that I could have turned on...

Pete, yes, Mark at 9th Tee Enterprises. Hey, hope things are going well.

It seems I am very good at doing the idle thing at certain times.

I love Chatter... sorry it won't work for you... You might want to try Mailwave which also does push, but you do have to subscribe to their monthly service. It's quite reasonable - 7/mo and you can give it a good demo as well.
