Sprint has not been "making wireless easy" for me.

It all started with the flaws in my beloved, but quite imperfect, Treo 600. I decided the 600 was a lost cause--Sprint couldn't figure out why it had so many problems. In fact, Sprint couldn't even get its test equipment in the stores to work long enough to find out that the company couldn't find out what was wrong with it.

    Enough.

I tossed my 600 into a desk drawer and hauled out its predecessor, my old Treo 300. I called Sprint to switch my phone service back to it, and that went fine. Then began my descent into hell: getting the Internet connection reactivated.

Hmm... I've had a couple problems with sprint, but they've been able to fix them within a call or two to support. I think this guy was a fool for going to 4 stores and then calling support for the 5th time, only to have it work. After the first support call didn't work, he should have escalated his request via the phone and talked with someone who had a different solution to offer rather than doing the same thing 4 times. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. When the second support guy had him do the same stuff as the first (and the first one failed) he should have stepped up to the plate and demanded to talk to someone who knew something. Some people just like to complain...

How dumb. Throw your $600 phne in the drawer and just accept that you cant get it to work. Man talk about giving up easy.

What a fake. He drove all over town just to come up with the basis for a story. If he really understood that curtain, he would have insisted talking with someone behind the curtain before hitting the cab (or throwing the 600 away in favor of the 300 -- a fact that alone calls his judgment into serious question).

If it took the guy this event to figure out that first-tier tech support and retail shops suck, he should have his credentials taken away.

Thats why they have 2nd and 3rd tier technical support.

At first I found a 15 minute+ wait at Sprint to go from customer service, to 1st tier, to 2nd tier. But last time I tried, I was talking to 2nd tier within 5 minutes of my call. I have gone to 2nd tier 3 times and they have always gotten straight to my problem.

i think he just made up the story. what moron would pay for cab rides around town when a phone call or two would have fixed his issue in the first place. not just that, from my experience with call centres, if the first call centre dude doesn't help you, hang up and call again. the next dude who comes on the line probably will.

once, i spent 20 mins arguing with a local CS line guy about changing my telephone number for free (as was promised to me) but he wouldn't change it because he said the last person I spoke to didn't note it down in my file that i would get it for free. not my fault! so the guy at the store i was at told me to hang up and dial again. i dialed again and the next person i got did it in 2 mins. lol.

if you are wondering what company that was - it's canadian cell phone provider Bell Mobility.

This information is posted all over Treo Central thanks to people like Wahili. I agree with most other posts on the thread also. NOT Flaming though. We have a great group of people that get a lot of information out. That is why TreoCentral and Others are very popular, helpful and successful

And I really hate Claire. I swore at her once and she hung up on me. Hung up fast! I called her back and told her not to hang up on me again and then swore at her. She again hung up on me. I felt so much better after that. When I am in a really bad mood, I take it out on Claire. Claire is just so stupid. Ben
