Please provide your input as to how I can possibly fix this problem:

I dropped my Treo600 (while the earbud was plugged in) yesterday. Today, no sound comes out of either speaker, unless the earbud is plugged in!

I tried a soft/warm/hard reset, and nothing has changed.

Did I break or short-circuit something?

    Your thoughts??

You probably disloged the main circuit board just a bit causing loose connections. Plugging the earbud in probably shifts is just enough for all the connectiosn to be solid again.

If the unit is under warranty, try to get it repaired or replaced ASAP. Don't tell them you dropped it.. just tell them that the speakers stopped working and you have to use the earbud.

Or, if you felt that would be dishonest you could call PalmOne and arrange for them to repair your phone.

Actually, there have been known problems with the earpiece going out. I had that same problem 3 months ago, took it in to a local Sprint store and they replaced it immediately. Just F.Y.I.
