I like many people am experiencing problems being ALLOWED to sync up to my PC at work. In the corporate environment they are locking down PCs so that software cannot be installed by end users or have strict policies in place stating that you NOT install software.

My question: Has anyone come up with a way of running sync software from a portable device such as a USB memory card?
I really want to be able to sync my contacts and calendar information from Outlook at work to my Treo 600 without having to dial into work with a laptop at home and then syncing to the Treo from there.

Perhaps a copy of the sync software on a USB memory device with all appropriate dll files copied may run without having to do an install onto the PC? Missing registry entries could be a problem, not sure what the Palm sync software requires. If nobody has done this already I may play around with it to see if I can get it working.
