...w/free 2nd-day shipping and no tax...I never heard of Dane-Elec until a friend turned me on to zipzoomfly. Ordered the 256Mb card from them yesterday...we'll see how it goes. Here's the 256 Mb link:

In followup to my own message, the 256 MB Dane-Elec card is a real dog (CardSpeed: Wrt32bit: 9 bytes/sec).

I bought a Dane Elec 256mb card and , except for the little paper label on the front, it looks EXACTLY like a Toshiba PNY card, serial number, etc...
Performance is also about the same.

This website lists the Dane as a good value. Any other comments? Cost for the 256kb card is $17.99 now w/ rebate.

You can't go wrong with this card at $17.99. My previous comment about the Dane-Elec being dog-slow was based on it's speed results as compared to the other cards' data posted in the database you referenced. It works perfectly fine for the day-to-day apps I use.

Audio and picture storage/playback work fine. Haven't tried (and don't plan to) video.
