I have tried to change the mail button on my Treo 600 to allow it to be set to bring up my contacts. When I go through the instruction booklet, it shows me how to change it, but the option list does not include the option of asigning the button to bring up "contacts". Any advice would be appreciated.

get Agendus Pro and assign it to the button it's far better than the "contacts" anyway

You can not do it directly, for some reason Handspring "hid" the Contacts app from the system.

I've done it by buying Tiggle Toggle Pro 1.3, which can be found at

    http://www.tiggletoggle.ws/product.htm

I have then been able to assign 2 apps to each of the 4 buttons, although I've left no.4 as the off button.

Someone once wrote a small app that provided a shortcut to contacts so that you could assign it to a button, but it did not last long as the program used to write the app was shareware and demanded payment for the full suite after so many goes.

    Hope this helps,

    Chas

Thanks. After loading the program does it show up in the list of applications that can be assigned to the button? Is Agendus worth it to a novice like myself?

I use 2Contacts, and then set it up as one of my favorites. 2contacts comes with the download for the trial version of ...2Phone? or maybe it's called treo shortcuts now? but it's a free prc from the main 2phone and 2web apps.

With TT Pro you get "Address Book" in the list of apps that you can assign to any of the buttons. Each button can have 2 apps, which you then toggle through. So if you set button 3 to Address Book and Address Book, then when you press button 3 you will get Address Book only

I have button 2 set to Datebk5 and Address Book.

If you do use TT Pro and leave Button 4 as Power, you need to go into Buttons from Prefs and re-assign Power every time you run the TT Pro core program. Saying that you only run the core program when you are setting the up the Buttons first time, so no real problem there then

The Link I quoted above works for me, here it is again:

    http://www.tiggletoggle.ws/product.htm

You could try http://tiggletoggle.ws/lite/ for the lite version, Which is also available on Palmgear.

    http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fu...=&prodID=41176

But it's the pro version you want.
