    Hi,

I like having 2day mapped to the calendar button and then pressing again to get into Datebk. However, Datebk takes over the calendar button afer it runs. Are there any settings in either the PalmOS prefs, 2day, or Datebk to avoid this behavior?

    Many Thanks.

    Hi,

Do you mean the new Datebook6 version ?
It does seem to be doing this. Afraid you should contect the developer regarding that...

Yes, it is version 6. I guess I can map 2day to a different button until it is fixed. Thanks for the immediate response.

Having an issue with the Lookup feature in 2day version 1.41 build 205 - whenever I create a new Appointment, and go straight to Lookup to get to a person's name, I get a soft reset on the palm. ##err reveals : Reset caused running 2day - Memorymgr.c Line:3759, Non-word-aligned handle.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Can you tell me what you have selected as the "Lookup" app in 2day's "Helpers" preferences page ?

    Thanks.

Hmm, I'm not having any issues. I have 2day mapped, then 2day's Weekview, then 2 views of Datebk6, then it goes back to the main 2day screen. I'm using Datebk 6a p6. Try updating to the latest version.

Takephone - using 6.50 build 105 - and just tried changing it to phone - same deal. Error message with ##err is the same.

    Shimon,
Am I doing something wrong (1.41 build 203)? Yesterday it showed the non-timed event (last day of Hanukah) after two birthdays that are coming up next week. I can't figure out what I have checked off wrong (if anything) such that it should be showing me today's info first and then what will be coming up in the following days/week.
Well, it isn't perfect and it makes me crazy, but I still do love my Treo!

Just tried it myself using TP as the helper and I also get the same result and error message as cue79

    cue79, dwman,

I have the Lookup Helper set to "Contacts" and it works fine.
  11. #1911
I take that back. I don't get an error or anything, but the contact doesn't highlight when I scroll over it.

    Shimon,

I'm getting a similar response to the Lookup field in 2dial (only the Lookup in 2day doesn't display the contact numbers). I can't highlight anything so I basically have to guess which contact I'm when I'm scrolling. You mentioned that you didn't have any control over the way the Lookup displayed when I was in the contacts screen in 2dial. Does this apply to 2day as well?

    Shimon,

I noticed since upgrading to Datebk6 that when icons are selected, they don't show up in 2day. Same when an alarm is set.

I would imagine that 2day would need to be tweaked for these adjustments, but maybe you would prefer to wait until Datebk6 is in a release stage.

    Just an FYI.

    Hi,

    You should select "Contacts"

    Hi,

Right now birthdays are considered a seperate area, so they appear on top of all other calendar items.

I plan to add an option in some future version to show birthdays on their matching date.

    Hi,

Yes - the lookup is the same.
I will compare the code I use in 2dial & 2day, to see if I can improve things, but it can not be better than the way it is in 2dial...

    Hi,

    I do see those icons...

Please go to 2day's "Calendar" preferences page, select DateBk6 as the "Open with" application (bottom), and tap the "Config" button that appears when you do.

In the new dialog, make sure the "Show icons by resource ID" option matches the one you set in DateBk6 itself.

    Hi,

    1. Are you sure you have Missed calls disabled in the "Monitoring" preferences ?

    2. When using the built-in call-log, I have no way of telling it to show only missed calls...sorry...

2day has always monitored missed calls for me even though I never enabled it. This has always happened but I figured it automatically did it regardless of what I chose in preferences.

    1) yes i am sure

    2) the built in call log has four options to choose from

    a) all
    b) incoming
    c) missed
    d) outgoing

you couldnt just set it to choose missed call log instead of all?

    Thanks for the quick reply
