Instead, it would make more sense to have the memory info and the battery percentages (in bold fonts if desired) on the first line, which would be the line that highlights when you first bring up 2day so you can just click it and see any additional info on those items. The owner info should be an option for a second line for those who forget that they own their Treo.

All in all...still a great program though.
I agree 100%...not sure of the need for an "owner" line, but all in all, the best investment I've ever made for my T600. Thanks again, Shimon.

    Shimon,

So are you saying that in order to view the memory %, I need to have my owner info or next appt. info displayed? The owner option, as someone else has mentioned, is very low on my list of pertinent information to be displayed. Can that be made optional while still being able to see the memory% which is much more important to many users?

Again, incredbile job. I just peeked back at the first beta of 2Day and I cant believe the wonderful strides the app has made in a matter of weeks! Great Job!

It looks like you can select "time till next event" in place of the "Owner" info to have the memeory percentages too.

I for one like the owner info, perhaps not on the first line, but as a choice in one of the pop ups (like in build31).There are at least 4 Treo600's at work and the owner info seems like a great way to get the treo back to whomever misplaced it.I really don't feel like getting a Sanford Sharpie and writing my name on the treo case, or even worse a Dymo label maker (like we all had as kids (1970's)) and put an embossed sticker with my name on it

Seeing that 2Day pops up on my Treo with the power button, this seem a more logical place for the owner info, even better then the location that Handspring/Palm put it.

I neve liked the fact you had to rely on someone finding the "prefs" app, then selecting owner. A work a round I did was to put an entry in my contacts with the name "-If found, select this field". The "-" makes it always sort at the top of the list.

I would just hate to loose my treo, but to play devils advocate, I would have to rely on an honest person to find it and to return it...Not as a simple task these days, as it once was.

Just my 2-cents, off my soap box now, Matt

Nope. Because then you don't see the memory percentages. As is, it requires you to choose to have that line with the owner info in order to also see memory percentages on that line (and the batter percentage shows up on its own line above it all).

As for the need to have the owner info so you don't get it lost at work, that seems like a much smaller group of users than those of us who just use it all around and don't put it with a big group of others at work. Like I said, that could be fine on its own line below the line with the memory percentages and battery percentages and as an option so those of us who know we own our Treo don't need to waste another valuable line for that info.

Keep up the amazing work Shimon (and thanks again so much for putting up with all of our requests and suggestions)!

    Shimon,
Nice touch adding the Red,White and Blue to the current day ("2day!").Now there is no doubt that I am on the current day!

Any luck with adding the external battery to the pop-up window that displays "Next meeting" whtn you tap the yellow "i" or select the "No Future Appointments" line?
Is is posiable to add the voltage for the Main Battery too, after the %?
    ex - Main: 87% 4000mV

You have surpassed excpectaions with this app already by the way.
Thanks again for your diligence, Matt

    1) uninstall 2day
    2) set the datebook button to agendus
    3) install 2day and answer the question to toggle between 2day and databook

For some reason, I've got this sequence out of order and right now I can
toggle between 2day and datebook, but I'd rather toggle between 2day and
agendus. Do I have to uninstall/reinstall as described above or is there an
easier way? (I guess I'd like a way to choose the "datebook" button that 2day
allows me to toggle between.) Would this be easy to make this configurable?

PS: Thanks for making such great products. I think TakePHone was an
absolutely brilliant idea on your part. It goes to show how important a difference
    a good UI can make!
No need for uninstall, or resets:
    1. Set the button to launch Agendus (either in Agendus prefs or the system prefs).
    2. Run 2day, set it to launch on that button from 2day's preferences.

Maybe I did this because I am NOT an owner of a Treo ...

Seriously - I will add the battery icon to that owner line (which can be used to display "time to next appt").

I believe the reasoning for displaying owner info is - you can set 2day (or any other "today" app) to launch on power on, so if you lose the device, and someone finds it - he/she just turns the device on, and sees who owns it...

2Day still lacks the abilty to get graphics from the card, instead of ram, for those of us that are limited on available ram.

So does the built-in phone application...

Sorry - this will have to wait until I make the first "official" release...

I think your doing a great job. However, I think you should just work on what you have now. I think when you put too much into a program you have bloated and troubled code. I've noticed a difference when turning on my treo of a whole second or two, when your first couple of releases opened almost as fast as just turning on the device. I don't use facer because of the huge lag it had, and because it didn't show more than 1 day.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I think the problem is with the SD card free memory display - do you have it configured to show it ? and do you have an SD card installed ?

If you do - please try removing it, and see if there still is a delay.

    let me know...

    Thanks.

    Shimon,

Kind of a long shot, but maybe at some point you may want to take a crack at this.

There is a thread that was started about being able to automatically switch the treo from ring mode-vibrate mode when meetings/appointments are scheduled for the duration of those appointments. Would love to see this feature in 2day.

    Thoughts?

WOW - not right now, sorry.

Please ask this again in some time, when I am done with this stage.

No worries. Thanks for the quick reply....maybe we'll look forward to it in a future release.

Again, thanks for an awesome product.

Thanks again for this wonderful, evolving app. The integration with Chatter is seamless.

I too would prefer that card info be displayed without owner info. I don't power on with 2day! because of the lag, which seems SD card related.

I think you got it wrong - the lag is NOT because of the owner info, but because of the SD info !

I am thinking of removing the SD info from the main screen !!!
It will be displayed within the "details" dialog (when you select the first line)

I'd love to power on with 2day. If this takes care of the lag, it's a great tweak.

I have added folders to my email program since I installed 2day 1.31 Beta (040). How do I get 2day to monitor the new folders (they don't show up on the list) ?

    Great application!
