    I just found this sale.

Kingston memory is on sale after rebates. Plus they have free shipping.
    The prices look pretty good.

I'm going to go ahead and order a Kingston card. The cards are made by Toshiba.

This place has a 512MB for $67 after rebate (ends today) with free shipping and no sales tax. Pretty cheap...

I bought a Kingston 512 MB card from Ecost, and when I run a Backupman backup it is very, very much slower than my Sandisk 256 MB one was. I haven't done any benchmarks, but the there is a big speed difference. Like maybe 4 or more times slower.

I'll try to test them both head to head at some point and report back what I find out.

For me, eCost claimed free ground shipping and a $4.95 handling fee. So it is $1 cheaper. I already ordered from ZipZoomFly.com and it is too late to cancel so I guess I am out a buck. Oh well.

Hopefully it won't be too painfully slow. The Kingston cards are made by Toshiba, I have a Toshiba 128MB card and I've never noticed it to be any slower then my Panasonic 128MB. At least I can finally ditch my two small cards...

I think just the possiblity that it might be a little slow, like a couple people here have reported.

UPS claims mine will be delivered on Monday so we'll see...
