    Ever since I upgraded to Avantgo 5.5 Build 95 some of the images get 'colour-corrupted' / solarized effect. This only seems to effect pictures e.g. in PIC & Reuters channels I subscribe to. I didn't have a problem when I was using 5.3 - unfortunately I've deleted my copy of this version & can't get it back.

    I have tried removing & re-installing, refreshing all content, clearing caches, etc. but all to no avail.

    Does anyone out there know anything about this? I have tried searching everywhere with nothing to show for it. Can anyone offer any guidance?

    I'd like to know the answer to this too!
    But I don't know that the problem is 5.5.
    I'm still using 5.3 and I have the same problem.

    That certainly sheds some light on things - problem may then be some software, but I don't think its the FW update.

    I've tried looking in their newsgroup and there is 1 person asking the same question!

    I appreciate that I don't pay anything for the service but I wonder if anyone knows how to contact Avantgo support.

    I am using version 5.3, build 66, and I have not experienced this problem.
    Me = Nokia 5170/Palm III > Kyocera 6035 > Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 700p > Treo 755p > Treo Pro > Palm Pre

    Wife = Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 755p > Palm Centro > Palm Pixi

    I reported this to AvantGo and got the following reply:

    Our engineers did turn the channels from high resolution graphics to low
    resolution because of some service issues we were experiencing with Palm OS
    5.0.
    This can affect your images and fonts as well. Our engineers are looking
    into this problem. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause in the
    interim.

    Looks like we will just have to wait for the fix.

    Ditto with the image issues after the 5.5 upgrade. To top it off, a drop down box now appears at the top of the AG title window and shows that I now have a duplicate user name causing my AG to now sync twice. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but continue to have this issue.

    Anyone else run into this?

    Again, I don't think these problems are unique to build 5.5!
    I have the picture problem and the double sync problem and
    I am still using 5.3 build 77

    I found this on another board....solves the problem

    Check to see if AvantGo is listed twice in Start | Settings | Control Panel
    | Mobile Link. If it is, delete one of them and things should return to
    normal.

    Hi Jasparks,

    Perhaps you could post a link to the actual fix.

    I assume by 'Mobile Link' you mean the Avantgo Connect icon in the Control panel. Had a look in there and only found 1 connection. Tried deleting & re-creating anyway, in hope that it would work.

    I guess the fact I didn't have the double syncing problem in the first place, means it did not make any difference to me. Has it fixed the image issue with yours?

    Correct...this was just a fix for the double sync, not the image problem. I'm still dealing with that as well.

    As far as a link, all I did was cut & paste the instructions that you see. That's all there was. Didn't find it necessary to post a link when instructions were relatively short.

    Thanks for that Jasparks - didn't mean to be funny. Just that this image prob is beginning to get on my nerves. Let's hope there is a way forward soon.

    Found this response to another similar post in the newsgroups. At least thay appear to be aware of the issues and are working on a fix.
