I've no doubt that the boom works well. That demo they have on their site in a helicopter is impressive. I have a headset that works good enough, I just want something wireless now.

I've been over to ebay to check out the unleash ...very tempting at $25.00 (thanks dpower!) The guy makes up for it in shipping tho at an additional $15.00. Hmmm, it's tempting but one is stuck with it if it doesn't work out. Decisions, decisions.

I sent an email to Reason customer service about the treo600 coupon no longer working (tells me also that it's expired). I am hoping to have a response from them within a few days. I'll post here what I find out. If the product is as good as everyone here seems to think, the search for a reliable wireless headset may be over.

    Crossing my fingers!

I'll "take one for the team" an try to win one off ebay at the $25 + $15...I'll report back to see if his lot works as promised. I bid on one other day, but some nib-nub outbid me with a few seconds left. That's usually cool except for the fact the seller offered 5 identical auctions for the same product that all expired within a minute. No one else had a single bid for any other headset, but the guy chooses to outbid me nonetheless. Anywho...

Just to let you know... Noise cancellation is great also. I was in a casino in Las Vegas this weekend. Several people said they couldn't hear any noises and they had no idea that I was even on a headset.

Well, somebody must have listened -- though I haven't gotten a reply from Reason Products yet. As of now, the coupon code "treo600" appears to work for giving you $30 off the purchase of the Reason Unleash headset. Total with cheapest shipping option (2nd day air) comes to $78.95.

I wrote to the eBayer who had the multiple auctions up, but never got a response. Not sure I want to go the route of a non-responsive eBayer to buy something as important as this. Think I'd rather buy it outright and be able to deal with the manufacturer if I have any problems...

    Thanks!

well I'm using the Seidio 2in1 and I really like it, since I'm heavily dependent on my music, all during the day. Love it. If you want to listen to digital music a lot, then I'd give a hearty recommendation to the Seidio:

Heard from Reason finally. They stated the obvious -- that they fixed the coupon's expiration (duh!). That's ok. I went ahead and placed my order. 2-Day shipping via UPS (Usually Pounded and Smushed?) should get it to my door before the weekend.

I'm smiling so far... and crossing my fingers that it'll work as well as everyone says...

Gee, Reason never responded to my email for a list of retail providers. Glad to know the code is working again tho.

I also purchased one off ebay (still to come) but I also reached out to unleash to find out if the seller was a dealer or will they cover any warranty issues, it's been 24hrs without response.

In regards to great headsets I would also suggest the Shure Model I have it,and works great without a complaint from my customers who hear me through it everyday. (Only problem it has a wire) Also brought it off ebay!!

I purchased the unleash headset and it has only worked once in 10 days. The batteries died 3 days after installing them into the charger and they were brand new. I emailed tech support 3 days ago with no response. I did all the troubleshooting that they suggested and nothing is working. HELP!

Ouch - that does not build great confidence in unleash. May I ask, did you purchase it direct or through reseller/ebay?

If you purchased it direct from Reason and they have all your info, you probably wont receive an email just to talk about the problem. My guess is it will take a day or two to process and you will receive an email with shipping notice of your replacement. That has been my experience with them. A no questions asked attitude. Which I think builds great confidence in them!

OK, I received my headset yesterday. And have fully charged it.

First problem was getting the ear piece to properly fit. Once that was solved I hardly knew it was on as it fits quite nicely. The quality of the sound through the earpiece is more than acceptable to me. No one whom I spoke to (from in a moving car) stated that the voice quality was noisy or fuzzy. So my first reaction is that it woks quite well.

The only drawback at this time is the fact that the case requires 4 AA batteries. I hate to say this but the batteries/case/headset/dongle are HEAVY!

I need to keep trying it and will post other impressions.

In my attempt to find reviews of the unleash, I came across a thread at pdaphonehome.com
    http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...hlight=unleash

There is an issue with battery drain some had experienced and why they thought that might be. You might want to look this over to see if it's your issue, layland.

I purchased mine through ebay and received one that one that will not accept a charge. In trying to get it to work, I emailed Reason's support and asked for any suggestions they might have. The response was "Thank you for your email. We do not support the units purchased on eBay. These are not resellers we have selected. Please contact the seller." Since my question was about their product specifically I thought they might offer some help. Apparently they're taking their customer treatment lessons from Sprint...

Well, he is their customer in as much as he just left a message here detailing his negative experience with 'their' product, and that can taint people's view of the company.

I'm not saying they owe him anything, I'm just saying that this company seems to be relying almost solely on word of mouth from these boards, as I haven't seen any advertising from them, just initial press releases. I can't find their product in stores around my area (Best Buy, Circuit City, Fry's, Radio Shack, Etc., etc.) nor has any of these stores heard of such a product. It's places like this with reviews (like your very good one, thanks) that I've even heard a peep on Reason's Unleash.

They never emailed me back with a list of retailers, and I'm beginning to think it's 'cause they got dropped.

Back to the point ...he may not be their customer, but with the limited exposure they have, he could very well be a problem.

I feel like Mulder in that 'I want to believe' in this product, it just seems somewhat shaky. Some users report that it works good in the beginning, but begins to deteriorate within a couple weeks. Others state problems from the get go...then still more seem to love it like yourself.

I guess I could buy a headset from them but if they won't respond to my email on retailers for a sale, how can I know they'll respond if something goes wrong?

You are absolutely right...after posting here, I checked an alternate email address that I use for ordering merchandise and there was my email with the replacement and shipping info. I assumed that they would have responded to the email address that I sent the tech email from as it was different from the one that they used. So my confidence thusfar has been restored in the Reason Products company....for now.....

I am their customer as I'm attempting to use the product them manufacture and I surely would have left positive feeback here if I could get it to work. I'm in no way saying its the fault of their product or trying to hold them responsible, I just expected a response more along the lines of "you could try this, this or this. If that doesn't work, you'll have to contact the person you bought it from. Sorry." Not a flat out "too bad."
