I am a new Treo user, so pardon me if this is a stupid question. I would like to know what is the difference between GSM & GPRS and what can they do for me that my old cell phone (which did not have this type of network) could not do? Also, will they help with future technology? Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

Kevin from palmOne here. General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is the way you connect to the Internet using a Treo 600 from AT&T, Cingular, T-Mobile, or another GSM mobile service provider. There’s lots of great information on GSM and GPRS in the palmOne Support Knowledge Library, and the solution ID below is a great place to start. Just go to the link below and type in the ID number:

    Background: About GPRS

    I hope that helps!
