Well particularily one store I shop at in Vancouver, Atic Computers...

    All retail packages:

    For SD cards:
    Sandisk 256MB, $75. 512MB, $125
    Panasonic High Speed 512MB, $140.

    For CF cards,
    Sandisk 256MB, $80. 512MB, $125.

This is truly a breakthrough. I remember the 512s being $400, I could only dream of the day I'd own one, settling for the 256s for $100 instead.

Mind you when the 2GB + SD cards come out, our 512s and 1Gs will go down in price.

I don't know where your info came from, but without rebates, Amazon, considered standard price, your company is shafting you and you don't realize it.

    Sandisk

    CF 256MB $42
    CF 512MB $84
    CF 256MB $ 55 (Ultra II)
    CF 512MB $109 (Ultra II)

    SD 256MB $61
    SD 512MB $109
    SD 512MN $150 (Ultra II)

There will be a difference in price for some time, well at least till the sales volume is the same.

Oh my prices are in Canadian dollars

    Sandisk
    256 - $75CAD = $56USD
    512 - $125CAD = $94USD

    Panasonic
    High speed 512 - $140CAD = $105USD

It's from a mom and pop type computer shop. Great prices though.

London Drugs, a major retailer in Canada, has the SanDisk 512s going for $189.99, which is $142.49 USD.

I'll go for the Panasonic high speeds, not a huge difference in price and performance in the PDAs/phones/cameras, but makes for excellent transfer speeds combined with a USB 2.0 memory card reader.
