I had to do delete some confliciting software and then do a HARD reset. When I resynched, ALL the software (including the one's I did not want on there) were re-installed! Even though I did a backup AFTER I deleted them.

How can I make sure that these are not re-installed again...but everything else is?

You have to delete the 'unwanted' software and its associated files from you back up folder before retoring you handheld....

You can also purchase a program that backsup to an external card, such as BackupManager. You set the device up the way you want it and then do a backup. You can restore from that. With BackupManager and similar programs, the pda is backed up on a routine schedule and as long things are working fine before the backup, you can restore from it after the backup is done. Ben
