Can anyone suggest a good backgammon program for the Treo600? Yes, I've done a search, but I'm looking for user feedback.
    Thanks

The one I use is BackGammon v3.1 by schall@bigfoot.com.

    You can d/l it here:

I have found it has the best controls. The AI is not the best (but I have not found a backgammon AI that can consistently beat me yet).

I rather like this program - play it every day.

On a related note, I was wondering if there was a program out there for the Treo600 that was optimized for playing on-line backgammon with other players on the Net.

Have fun and don't forget to double.

    Peace.

I tried a couple and this is the best one I have tried so far.

Best of all, it won't cost you a dime!

I would not recommend this backgammon game. It does not seem to be compatible with the Treo 600.

First, when I tried to move the backgammon pieces, there was a lot of erratic behavior that was hard to control. Pieces were jumping two-at-a-time to locations that I did not want to go to, for example.

Second, my Treo 600 freezes, and the screen goes all white, or all black. I have had to do a reset to get the Treo to start working properly. This happened three times in the first five minutes, for example. (This need to reset started as soon as I installed the game.) When I deleted the game, I did not have to do any more resets.

The game is free, which is a great price, but I do not think it was intended to be used on a Treo 600.
