You can get a Kingston 256 MB Secure Digital Card for $48 plus $15 mail-in rebate. Free UPS round shipping. After rebate, your net cost is $33. 256 MB SD cards are usually priced around $70, so this is pretty good even without the rebate. Limit 1 per order at eCost.com.

BTW, when you read the rebate coupon, you'll find that this offer is also available through PC Mall, MacMall, CCIT, & ClubMac. There's no limit on the quantity you can order from the other merchants, but you'll pay shipping costs. There is a limit of two rebates per household.

I have a Kingston 256MB SD card and it has horrible write speeds. The read speed on it is extremely fast, but the write speed is TERRIBLE. See the benchmarks speeds:

See my post #12 for Kensington. I'd suggest Sandisk, they seem to have respectable speeds.

I agree about not dealing with ecost. First, you discover a handling charge at checkout, which increases the price. Next, they don't disclose the fine print in rebate forms. Some of their rebates are misleading unless you read all of the fine print in the rebate form before you buy. Finally, their return/warranty policies are horrible.

    At all costs, avoid eCost.

    Newegg: $30 ($50 - $20 rebate) w/ free shipping. I'm pretty sure Newegg is a reputable vendor.

I post the bensbargains link so Ben can earn his two bits for any purchases. He provides a valuable service and I found the deal through him. Other than that, I got no other deal going on here for myself. Just lookin' out for my homeboy, Ben.
