I keep gettting this error when running the prog

    Start mvrec2mpeg processing.....
    Opening File: C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\Desktop\Video0_31Mar04
    Version: 107
Error: This file version is not compatible with the converter

What am I doing wrong? The file is coming from my SD card and I copy it onto my Desktop and then run the jar file?

Which version of MovieRec are you using?

If you are using the latest version, the movierec file should have a .mvr extension.

    Yes,
It does have a .mvr extension and my Java appears to be update.

Can you send me two files
    1. The above movierec file which you are not able to convert
    2. Take another new movierec file and send that to me

Zip them up and send them to chiru229_at_yahoo.com and I will look at them.

I downloaded the .exe converter for MovieRec 1.12. Can someone provide directions in how to use it? When I clicked on the exe converter, it opens a window for about 1/4 second then closes.

The exe converter was developed using trial software so does not run anymore unless you want to change your system date to something prior to March 2004.

You can use the java version at http://132.235.17.1/~puri/Treo600/java

If you want to develop apps in Java you need Core Java J2SE. I think the one for your needs will be Desktop Java J2SE. In other words it is also called Java Runtime Environment. Here is the link with more information and download information

On Windows XP... open an MSDOS window... enter date command place date to 1/1/2003 then run the app from that window. It works for me.

Anyway the 2.02 exe file doesn't generate sound.
