These little apps called DA's will let you do things without leaving the current application. Only certain launchers can launch DA's, such as:
    McPhling
    FlexButton
    SlowLaunch
TealLaunch (sort of broken on 600)
    DA Launcher (requires command bar)
    Qlaunch (broken for me)

    Here are some:

daMemoPad - memopad, at the bottom of:
    http://www.jade.dti.ne.jp/~imazeki/palm/damepd.html

    ToDoDA - create Todo entries
CoolDAs - beam, auto off, etc.

CalCal - calculator, I prefer PopCalcDA or TealCalc (but $$):
    http://www.bea.hi-ho.ne.jp/kish/palm/palmware.html

PopCalcDA can launch the old PopUpCalculator hack, without being a hack. YOU NEED PopUpCalculator FOR THIS TO WORK, but no hack manager.
Dont know where I found it so Ill attach it.
    PopUpCalculator is here:
    http://palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseac...F=&prodID=1823

calescheDA - a calendar, various sizes
Use the included csda_conf.prc to configure calescheDA to open Calendar (or Datebk5) when you tap on a day. Check the first checkbox and select the app from the first dropdown list. I dont know what the other options do.

TealTools - a collection, TealEdit is neat
    http://www.teal.com

I attached these because I dont know where I found them:

Call Lookup DA - lookup phone numbers etc.

LocalFindA - finds text in text field

ClockOffDA - shows a clock for a few seconds then turns off the device. There are more with other sizes etc.

LDA panels - launch more DA's or apps with buttons/screen, FlexButton includes similar but imo inferior panels

    acLock - locks device
    acwordc - word count
acNumericKeyboard - launch system number keyboard
    acRomanKeyboard - launch system keyboard
(I think these all come with DA Launcher, free)

    AOctrlDA -set auto off
    http://www.freewarepalm.com

NeverAutoOff DA - just puts a timer on the screen and doesnt turn off until you close it, good for flashlight!

ContextDA - launches a certain app, depending on what app you are in

    ---------

These are/seem broken but there might be an update somewhere:

    ReplaceDA - find/replaces text in a field

Tree - makes any text field hierachial

    Puzzler - um screensaver?
