My tests were poor on my Sandisk 1gb ultra 2 until I reformatted it in my treo 650. Now I get execellent speed results. Go figure. originally I was testing it right out of the box.
now i get a vfs score of 454 instead of a ~250s score.

Was gonna buy a Panasonic 512MB 120x sd card last week in the stores, but unfortunatly, they are out. I would rather have a very speedy sd card than one with big size since I don't listen to mp3s alot. I use PowerRun to run almost all my programs on my old SanDisk 256MB SD, and when it comes to games (ie. Warfare Inc.), it's just slow loading and for some reason my palm resets itself everytime when I click the EXIT button in the game (when PowerRun saves the game back into the SD card). So, I left this game on treo's internal ram. However, after I started to use my new SD Card and tried to move Warfare Inc. back onto the SD again, it never resets again when I click exit. You can kinda feel the speedy loading and writing back on PowerRun, but not a whole lot faster. For a photographer, this will be a great card since saving even a few seconds of writing time and ready for the next shot is worth the extra bucks. Unless you are an inpatient person like me ... I wouldn't spend 150 bucks on a 1GB SD card.

Okay, weird situation. Regular Sandisk 1GB straight out of the box. Didn't format it and VFSMarks were 384/391/406.

Formatted it in the Treo 650 and VFSMarks of 406 and 394.

BUT Cardspeed says Card speed is poor Avoid>11khz PCM

BUT if I re-format the card and go STRAIGHT to Cardspeed, it tells me "Excellent".

BUT if I immediately run the test again, cardspeed says "poor" again!

I don't know what to think.

I thought I had respectable scores on VFSMark. Should I ignore Cardspeed or am I doing something wrong?

Does anyone know why the file write speed is so slow? I've tried to run ATTO and it takes forever because of this.

PS: This card is $15 at Microcenter w/Rebate.

Are these numbers in the expected range?
Very strange high and low individual test marks. . . . . .

In usage, it does appear that the 4GB is slower than my old blue 2GB -- but I only notice it when the card is being backed up by BlueNomad on a hotsync. Writes to the card seem to be a little slower in usage but viewing of pics stored on the card seem just as fast of faster and data base access seems the same.

Just curious as to what others have found. . . . . . I was looking for more real estate rather than speed . . . . so I am a happy camper.

    Cheers, Perry.

anyone have the speed programs posted in post #1, card speed and vfs, the links do not work , and the zip file on freeware.com isnt there either
  14. #74
do u guys think the 4gb transcend 150x or the sandisk ultra II 4GB is a better faster card?
  15. #75
    I have the Transcend 150X 4GB card in a 700P.

    VFSMark of 676.

The file write portion of the test for me (and in actual use) is abysmal, but it still manages the 676 mark overall.

I have had no issues with this card. File access, music and video playback are all fine -- so I am good to go. (I believe my blue SanDisk 2GB card had a 975 mark overall.)
  16. #76
I have a blue SanDisk 4GB SDHC with an overall VFSMark of 690. There is a 13% file delete mark that pulls the overall value down. Seems to work well for all the aplications I run.

Mytreo.net is still showing the VFSMark program
