What kind of apps are most likely to slow down the Treo 650? I recently installed a few applications and it seems like my 650 is moving a lot slower. Hummm...

It's strange. I just got the same Lexar 1GB 32X. Initially right out of the box or right after the card was formatted, I got the similar results as above. But after the second run, the numbers are very similar to the regular version.

Here are the numbers for Lexar 1GB 32X with 100MB remaining:

    VFSMark Results

    File Create: 330%
    File Delete: 293%
    File Write: 68%
    File Read: 703%
    File Seek: 694%

    DB Import: 446%
    Record Access: 841%
    Resource Access: 800%

    VFSMark: 487

I guess it isn't worth paying the premium for 32X version because the speed seems very similar between the regular and high speed.

The PDA model also makes a difference with the Treo 650 being faster than the Treo 600 not just to processor but I believe it has faster architecture on the SD card throughput as a feature.

Looks like this one is a major POS for writing. Read speeds are impressive.
Yep, I have the same card (though mine was only $9 AR) and the same crappy write results. Took 32seconds! to complete the CardSpeed test. May have to pick up a new one. BTW, the one palm sent me free ran the test in 0.77 seconds!! Thanks Palm!
