Just use MIDI files. Most any MIDI files on the net will work.

Or get LightWave from http://www.toysoft.ca/ nad you will then be able to use MP3's as ringers (If you have a memory card)
    Palm III > Palm IIIC > Handera 330 > Kyocera 6035 & Sony NR70V > Treo 600 > Treo650 & Palm LifeDrive > Modded LifeDrive w/16gig CF > Palm Pre

Did you check the volume level in the Phone App? Is it all the way up? (Use the side up/down arows) If that is not loud enough then check out LightWav. It let's you uses WAV and MP3 as ringers. They are really LOUD! (Especailly if you set the BOOST in P-Tunes to +3)

Just to correct you. You dont need a memory card to Lightwav. Lightwav can use wav and mp3 files in RAM. you just need to convert the sound to palmOS database with the included tool in Lightwav.

I forgot that it can play files from Ram... I never used that feature, I need all the base memory I can spare. (Why diden't they give us 128mb main memory? )
