    All of a sudden, I am getting 4-5 soft resets a day caused by Takephone (Fatal Exception). The new programs I have installed around the same time as the start of these problems are BrightCam and FastForward. Do you know of any issues with either?

    None that I know of.
    I will try both.

    Can you try removing them for a while to see if the resets stop ?

    Will do. I'll let you know if anything changes.
    My gut instinct is that it has something to do with BrightCam because I have FastForward shut off during the day and still get resets. The resets tend to happen about 30 seconds after the phone rings or after I hang up (but not consistently every time). My Treo goes back to the Takephone screen and I get a reset.

    Does the reset show something like:
    Takephone caused the reset with a fatal exception?

    And now that I'm thinking about it, the 1:22 crash today was right after receiving some e-mail in Chatter.

    I have been having the same issues. I removed BrightCam and posted on MTDN for the developer. I was getting the error with numerous applications. Sometimes I would have a frozen Treo in the morning after a night of charging and do a soft reset. It appears that whatever application your in at the time is listed as causing the exception.

    I have Chatter also and found that being involved also. If I was playing Gin and then got an email, Chatter would pop up, I would press the check box and play for about 2 seconds and then the screen would go white and freeze or just reset on its own.

    Shimon,

    I have a feature request. How about including the ability to view the current phone activity status from within takephone. If a call is in progress, then an icon will appear. It should also have the ability to hang up from takephone. Many times during a call I've been in takephone and had to click like a mad man to get to the original phone app to hang up a call. Just a thought.

    Nice idea, but not right now, sorry...

    You can configure TAKEphONE so that when in a call - press & HOLD the PHONE button will take you to the "Current calls" screen.

    Just press the power off button and you'll go right to the active call.

    Both yours and Shimon's solutions are adequate, but a bit annoying. If I'm not mistaken, the old takephone had this functionality. Anyway, it's no biggie. Just a suggestion.

    FYI, no resets since I removed BrightCam. I still have FastForward installed.

    Great product and I want to buy the full version, however, I keep getting a soft reset when my wife calls me. I know all the husbands out there are thinking "Why didn't I think of that?" but I need to find an answer to this problem. Here is the reset error msg. I get when I dial #*#377 (VZW Treo 600)

    A reset was caused on XX/XX/XX at XX:XX pm while running "Phone":

    DataMgr.c, Line:6341, Invalid uniqueID passed

    My wife is the only contact I have with a photo assigned...could this be it? Maybe you will know better since you can see what line 6341 controls. Thanks!

    And to the point - that error is in the built-in application, not mine, so the error number does not tell me anything...

    Did you try removing the picture ?
    Or - remove the entry (not the wife), and try re-creating it.

    Man, am I glad that Takephone is availalbe on the Treo 600. I recently moved from the Kyocera 7135 and was an avid fan of Takephone.

    My only request would be that Simon take a month, or so, to write a manual!! I suspect that I am missing out on quite a few capabilities.
