Yup, I understand where you are coming from. Just that I have got used to the Nokia way of using the phone memory and SIM card combined. That makes about 350 entries for a quick search. My problem is that I have more than 1500 entries in my address work. I will need to change my way of handling my requirements then.

An improvement that you can consider is a more efficient way of organizing the 100 speed-dials. Just like the way it is done for the default 50 entries.

that's lightwav, not takephone. as far as I know there's no way to disable the coverup sound button assignment completely until an update to lightwav comes out with the option. change it to a key besides phone and it should be fine. it's in the treo prefs section.
  8. #48
No. My button for phone is set to Takephone.

right, but if you have lightwav installed, it sets the phone button to bring up the cover up sounds during a call. even if takephone is set for the phone button in the system button prefs. go to the lightwav treo prefs and change it to a different button and it should work.

OK. Got it changed to Mail button. But don't really want it to be "activated" at all - must go to Lightwav posting...thks all.

Is anyone using the Agendus Mail 4 beta? I cannot set the email app in TakePhone to be Agendus Mail Can anyone else? Or is this not a feature - in which case, could it be please?

    Hi,

Agendus Mail does not support the Palm OS "helper" interface yet.
Therefore TAKEphONE does not show it in it's list.

I think they are about to support it in coming versions, but can not tell when.

In the meantime, I have came up with a little utility to interface Agendus mail with TAKEphONE (or other apps).

You can download and try it here - it's a BETA...

FIX: version 1.02 - see below...

I think more speed dials (100, 1,000 whatever) would be really valuable. I like using my thumbs on them and thinking spacially. I wish I could have several pages of speed dials for family members, with phone numbers on the lefthand column and SMS on the righthand column. I would like to have two pages of delivery restaurants that service my office and two pages that service my apartment. I would like to have pages devoted to applications so that Butler could enable me to access more of them anywhere holding keys down on the keyboard. It would also be really easy to advertise the importance of the feature to new users. I can picture the headline in advertisements...."ran out of speed dial space? Takephone adds speed dials and so much more."

Also, I think call tracking features would be cool similar to CallNotes but more wisely done. For instance, take phone could optionally record phone calls in the notes section of contacts within certain categories. For instance, I wish all incoming outgoing calls to/from contacts categorized as "business" were noted in the note section, but not all calls categorized as "travel" or "friends" or "family". Also I wish the note was done in a way that was REVERSABLE in case I changed my mind. It should also be done in a way that doesn't interfere with other notes in the contact. Or .....and I'm just thinking out loud here.....make TAKEPHONE record things selectively in Natara Day Notes!!!! That would be cool.

Of course I'm not a developer and realize what I am suggesting could be quite difficult. Also, Takephone 6.0 is a FANTASTIC program already.

I have asked about this before and now that V6.0 has been released maybe this can be done in V.next. What I would like is the ability to turn off the screen during a call after a user defined amount of time.

    Shimon,

Thanks very much for the quick reply for the messagehelper program. If you are interested, it so nearly works ... I have the new beta 501 build of Agendus Mail 4, and the helper application does manage to launch Agendus Mail, it just doesn't create a new email to the selected address :-(

Hi again, I spoke a bit too soon. If I then choose "new message" in AM 4.0, it then automatically copies the email address of the last selected takephone address. Is this the intended way it should work?

    1000 Speed-Dials ? interesting concept....

Regarding call-log - that's a GREAT idea, although it seems more like a whole new app rather than an additional TAKEphONE feature...

    I will consider this.

    Hi,

I would have to have a device to play with...
Maybe I will - once they start selling them here...

Can you please allow the scroll to continue from the last page of the speed dial to page one and vice-versa? This way, I need not change buttons to scroll 4 pages back to one if I decide to do so at the last page.
