    Ok here goes,

I recently purchased a Treo 600 off my friend that upgraded to a Windows CE smart phone.

When I went to register my phone with sprint I realized that the sticker with the ESN and Serial number wasmissing off the back! Well 3 hours later, when no tech support person could tell me how to get the ESN off the phone I asked if they could pull it off my friends account since it used to be in his name... They said they could, so I drove to my friends. Had him speak to sprint and got the ESN #

Cool, so now Im talking to a tech, changing over to my new phone and this guy takes me through the switching process. Low and behold, 3 screens I go through have my ESN plastered all over em!!! Im like WTF! and tell the guy that my ESN # is on the screen and he was like ya, of course it is!!

anyhow that's just a brief walkthrough of how my sprint call went...

Now onto the question, since im missing the sticker on the back of the phone, and the phone was never registered.... How do I retrieve the Serial Number for the device so I can download PalmDesktop for my treo 600 from handspring.com and get my free MP3 player app they give you for registering the phone?

Is there a ##code that list's this info, or can it be found within the phone itself. Since the Treo 600 is a closed case I would hate to open it up unless I know the serial # can be found within the phone as well.

Any help with this would be great.

go to the phone application and from the options menu select "phone info". your serial number should be listed there - it is the number in the HS SN field.

How does one get this if their screen is broken in order to submit a repair request here?:

Neither of the numbers on the back appear to work.

Thank you. I looked there, and indeed I was entering the one on the bottom of the sticker on the back. I tried with the only '0' as a '0' and an 'O' and neither one is accepted. Also, it appears in NL, the webpage is broken (tried with IE and Firefox):

Any other ideas? I could PM you my serial number and see what you could come up with?

    Thanks.
