I am looking for an a way to bypass a app loading without defaulting the entire phone.

I loaded and app which caused my T6 to go into a reset loop.
to break out of this I had to do a hard reset.
If I could have only bypassed this troubled app, I would have been o.k.
(I have backupman) But but I hate re-registering ReqWireless after the restore..

It might help if you ran your new applications from a sandman, as utilised by something like 'uninstall manager' from www.northglide.com
I am not sure if this would prevent a reset loop, but you could go read their blurb, it might help you out.
The Requireless exchange of codes is a pain right enough, especially if you are a way from home as I usually am.

I guess what I am looking for is a combination key like Shift+B while the phone is resetting. Which would force the phone not to load any apps.
    Thanks

Have you tried a "soft reset"?

Place the reset pin in the hole, and press the "up" key on the 5-way pad. This will cause your Treo 600 to soft reset and will hopefully avoid the app that's causing the problem.

Try it out, it may solve your problem. I had the same issue and it fixed it. Then do a ##377 and see what app caused the situation.

    Good luck.

    Thanks

That already exists, and it called a "Warm Reset" which bypasses all system extensions and puts the Treo into safe mode so you can debug or delete the offending app. A soft reset only resets the Treo, while a hard reset deletes everything and should be used only as a last resort. Read the following PalmOne support thread on how to do a warm reset:

Gfunk is right. It's called a "warm reset".

    I stand corrected by a fellow `cane.

    Thanks Gfunk.
