    As I said I was getting about 503

    I've just done a hard reset and then tried Speedy on my "clean" Treo.

    Result = 625.

    I then restored back to my full setup.

    Result = 510

    So it looks like a software thing

    Mine seems to average 636, with a best of 644.

    I did notice that the text file included in the ZIP contains a note about not reading too much into the results on ARM processor machines....

    I'm averaging 630.

    I see Speedy has a selection for Treo 600 and I'm 8 below this measurement.

    If I do a Warm reset, upkey while resetting, I get a reading of 600+.

    Under normal conditions, ie after soft reset, I'm still around the 500 + reading.

    I wonder what is causing the slow dwon, I've tried turning everything on after the warm rest, but with no effect. ?

    Ran it after intall, average 460. Soft reset, now get about 510. Still quite low. Lots of 3rd party software. No idea why it's low.

    Notice the disclaimer...

    "enchmark results for the new ARM devices as returned by Speedy
    are to be considered with care.

    Speedy was initially designed to work with the former generation
    of Palm OS based devices running a DragonBall processor.

    In its current version, Speedy has been upgraded to take into
    account the specificities of the new ARM based devices and to
    re-evaluate the accuracy of the results returned.

    But, when the benchmark would run during 15 seconds for a 20 MHz
    DragonBall device, it runs in less than one second for the new
    high speed ARM devices. As a consequence, precision is depreciated
    with the new devices.

    So, as is, Speedy results give a valuation of the gap between
    the DragonBall based devices and the new ARM based ones."

    Mine was 502 and 617 after warm reset.

    I know I'm reviving an old post but did anyone ever figure out what programs were slowing down the Treo 600? I did a hard reset, using Speedy 4.1 I benchmarked 617 and after restoring all my files I'm right around 498-503. That's a 17% decrease! Maybe we could compare some of the programs we have installed to weed out what could be slowing everything down. Is there someone who consistently scores a 600+ willing to compare programs with me? Thanks!
