    Can't find the old thread so I'm starting a new one.

    I have Sprint with unlim vision. Since Nov 2003 I've used 1,116,956 kilobytes. Is that 1.1 gigabytes?

    Check your usage by dialing ##786

    Just like to see where I'm at compared to you guys.

    I'm afraid my data useage will go up if I register Ptunes deluxe that has Shoutcast.

    You have used 1.06 Gig (Just take x,xxx and devide it by 1024 and you have the next level up. 1024 Bytes = 1K, 1024K = 1Meg, 1024Meg = 1Gig, 1024Gig = 1 Terabyte Roughly. This is basically how Windows (And most other OS's) Calculate free space and such.)

    I have use almost nothing compared to you... 126,754 K That would be... 123.78 Meg.

    I have used 3,795 minutes (63 hours, or more than 2 1/2 days...)

    Ive used about 1.3 gigs since November. You and I have about the same usage but I DO have pTunes deluxe and shoutcast a little. IIRC the limit is 1 gig per month before Sprint starts harrasing you, not an official number though.

    Using #*786 on my Cingular GSM phone just gives Life Timer (minutes)
    It does not show data usage.
    f/w 3.04 BTW, and I assume the life timer reset itself during the firmware upgrade.

    My CDMA version in use since 11/27/03 shows:

    Code:
    Life Timer (minutes):  004640
    Life Data (kilobytes): -424956623
    Negative bytes?

    Interesting... do you get a positive balance in your bill each month?

    Sprint does not list kilobyte numbers on their monthly bills. Their vision plan is unlimited data.

    I thought ThirdType meant if you owed or did Sprint owe you.

    My life data reads 163714 since November.

    Yeah I meant how much money he owed them / they owed him

    631MB since November.
    Me = Nokia 5170/Palm III > Kyocera 6035 > Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 700p > Treo 755p > Treo Pro > Palm Pre

    Wife = Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 755p > Palm Centro > Palm Pixi

    I have checked my life usage frequently and find it to be wildly inaccurate. For example, I checked before and after downloading an e-mail with a 5 MB attachment and there was no change. Similarly, it does not seem to register any change after PDAnet sessions where I have used anywhere from 5-30 MB at a time. It reads approx. 250 MB since October, but I'm beginning to think that it is measuring through Blazer, and not Vision data traffic in general. This wouldn't explain the high numbers posted by folks who stream audio files, though.
