    Hi,

How many helpers do you see in ArrowLauncher's "helpers" screen ?
I think there is a limit as to the number of helper available ?

Do you have ToneDial installed ?
    Try removing it and test...

There are 3 helper listed, and I don't have Tonedail installed. For some reason Launcher doesn't find TakePhone and reverts to the default setting, which is contacts.

    Which ones are listed ?

You are using a Treo 600, right ?

When you open the helper list for "Phone handler", what other
applications besides TAKEphONE do you see there ?

(give them a little while to propogate changes...)

    what's new>
    - Clock
    - Treo status gadgets
(they're in an area that's slightly too small for them - I'll sort that later)
    - couple of fixes.

Please let me know if you can check any of the following

-palm pilots that arrow launcher works on (particularly smartphones)
    -helpers that work with arrowlauncher

    thanks

    Enjoy

ps - Parityone - I seem to have texactly the same setup - but takephone works for me. What happens when you try to make a call?

I get a message saying "The phone application encountered a problem" and then the Handspring "Phone" application starts. It opens in the contacts section with the name I selected in Arrow.

    Hi,

So ow do you select TAKEphONE ?

Please install the attached version, after that - run it, and disable the two options, then enable them.

The new version of Takephone seems to work nicely with Arrowlauncher.

0.14 does a better job of managing vips and lets you assign a category from the menu bar in the main list.

    Arrowlauncher .14

    Couple of observations:

    1. My names come up with no space between the first and last names. For example Jack Spratt comes up as JackSpratt.

    2. When I select a name entry, I would like to be taken back to the same place in the list as from where I started. Example: If I select Jack Spratt, and then go back, I want to be at Jack Spratt again. I often end up hitting the wrong entry (one above or below). So after having selected the wrong entry I would like to bounce out of the current entry and back into the list where I started.

    Thanks

Thanks for the observations. Here are my thoughts

    1) That is what I intended to happen there are two reasons;
    a) saves you typing the space between words if you have to type first name and part of last to find someone (slightly faster access to contact)
    b) you can see slightly more of the name in the list

What do you think? It would be possible to have spaces added as an option in preferences.

2)That's more or less what happens. If you type in letters to find your contact (you type ROBJ) but get the wrong contact, you return to the main list with the same letters typed - minus one (ROB). The idea is that you might have got the last letter wrong - so you are just going back. This works if you launch by tyuping only, typoing enough to get what you want and pressing 'right' or typing, then tapping on an item.

The only exception is if you use the up or down nav keys to select. In this case the letters typed are cleared as they are no longer necessarily appropriate. In this case - I could take you back to the selected contact - though to be honest the programming will be messy - so I'll keep this for later!

I see your point on #1 but rarely have to type more than a few characters to find anything...so a preference for spaces gets my vote.

I was using a combo of letters and the up/down keys and this probably confused my perception of what was going on. Armed with this new info I am happy with your choices.

On a different matter, I have noticed that the phone strength and battery graphics are corrupted after returning from a missed phone call dialog screen. I have my Treo 600 set to use home to get back to Arrowlauncher.

    Thanks

I just saw that Arrow Launcher is now in version 0.15 -- I can't tell from the PalmGear site if it's still in beta or not. Anyone know for sure?

It is in beta - but I'm not making quite such a big deal about it as I was initially as the program seems pretty stable (certainly more stable than early versions of butler!)

version 1.15 allows launching from the sd card
