It seems that my Cingular Treo 600 is always on my hometown (SFO) time ...even when travelling all over the US in different time zones.

My past phones on Verison always locked into the time zone of where I was...

Because the local times are never present all of my alarms are always off by hours..

Is this the way it works on Cingular??

    Thanx,
    Bruce

The Treo's do not set the time from the network.

Sprint Treos get their time from the network, that is why if you are roaming in an area without Sprint signal, you won't get the correct time (no Sprint signal to give it to you.) You can change from internal to network time by going to the date and time tab within preferences.

Treos on Cingular may not be able to do this, but this is the way it works for ones on Sprint.
