Does anyone know how to disconnect an active GPRS data session other than having to select 'disconnect' in the network/prefs app?

I guess there's no harm in leaving it connected other than I suspect it may draw down the battery a little quicker. Thoughts anyone?

    Thanks

Get Treo 600 CM (Connection Manager)
It is a program designed to dissconnect data connections after X ammount of time. And you can also program it to stay online if x app is running.

Unfortunately Treo 600 Connection Manager only supports SprintPCS CDMA models:

Treo600 Connection Manager is a custom application for the Treo 600 which allows the control of automatic disconnects from the network. When enabled, the Treo 600 Connection Manager will automatically disconnect from the network after a specified amount of idle (Dormant) time. You can even pick specific applications in which this disconnect does not occur! Only Supported on Sprint PCS Treo 600s
