    1. Voice Recorder.
    2. Picture caller id.

We pretty much have the mp3 ringer thing licked, LightWav has come a long way..

Anything else anyone can think of that a bored programmer could knock out?

    inevitable.

    1) The voice recorder issue can't be worked out until palmOne issues an update to the Treo. Evidently the Palm side of the Treo cannot access the microphone. There are many threads about this.

I have picture caller ID on my treo 600

I think what he means is a Picture ID that does NOT have a 50 person limit... However I cannot think of more than 15 people who's face I would WANT to see when they call me.

    There is Picture ID.

    1) In the Phone app, go to your "Favorites."
    2) Highlight a Favorite Contact
    3) Press "Menu"
    4) Select "Edit Favorite Button"
    5) Select "More"
    6) Put a check on "image"
    7) Then select an image

Over and above what is mentioned below I think having the following would be great:
    1. A better call log program.
    2. A program where SMS can be sent at a certain date/hour.

    Here are my top two....
    Simple, but missed.

    1. I would like the feature of holding down the phone HotKey and having my Bussiness card being beamed. Just like the Visor Pro and Edge did. Lost this with the Treo300 even.

    2. Have the web HoKey toggle between browser and bookmarks with the timeout default set to what view you choose via Blazer Prefs. The Blazer/browser HotKey on the Treo300 worked this way, it was handy.

    My number one:

A fix that will keep the cache in Blazer if I leave the app & come back. As it is, when I surf Blazer, I can tapthe blue arrows or hit keyboard backspace or return to go forward and backwards to pages in blazer cache. BUT when I leave Blazer & come back, the little blue arrows are gone. I cannot go back toprevious page. Sometimes Blazer even sets back to home page automatically when returning. This is annoying. Especially if I'm surfing & I unintentionally have to leave Blazer (getting an autofetch from Snappermail or just getting a call takes you away from Blazer, thus losing your spot). This was not the case on the Treo 300. If you surfed in Blazer & leave for a bit & return, you can still go back or forward in the cache. I don't know why Handspring disabled this for the 600.

But I seem to be the only one who this is even bothered by. Right Burkhardi?

Well maybe I am the only one who is bothered by this, but it seems it would be so simple to create a fix. I'm not asking for the moon here! Just a moonpie.

    2) This is my favorite, simple app that someone hasn't created yet: "command bar clock". Now through Treobutler & other programs we can fully utilize the command bar. But there are barely any uses for it. Well what about a clock that would pop up on the command bar whenever we bring it up? This would be perfect sinse I now hold "menu" key to bring up command. You could bring up a small clock in any app without taking up hardly any space at all. I know we already have "clock pop" or "bob's popup" (for when phone is off) but it would be nice to free one more hard button for another app. PLEASE CREATE "command bar clock"!!

One of you programmer, hacker types up for the challenege?

I agree with you TreoNeo that this would be nice to have, but the History menu item comes pretty close. And it IS saved when you leave Blazer to go somewhere else.

TakephOne can do this. Option>Prefs>Using the 'Phone' Button> long press=Beam Business-card. (Use most current step release, not most current public release.)

Not quite as elegant as what you suggest (and I DO like the suggestion), but a serviceable alternative:

    ClockPop 5

If you hold down a hard button (you can choose which one) it pops up a clock, and then returns to whatever app you were in. And it's free!

Thanks for the tip, tho I must be one of the few folks who could not get Takephone to make sense and work for me.

No really, that was a funny one.

    elysian9,
I'll try takephone thanks for the input!!!!

    Treoneo,
beleive it or not, since you meantioned it (the no "back cache" when you open Blazer again), it's starting to bug me too.THANKS..... Oh yea, Banana or Chocolate?

So on the command bar deal, you want a clock you can read, not an icon to launch one (like the beam icon and such that you see in the command bar when it pops up), right? So a small digital reading of the time to the very right of the slash mark when the command bar opens (in the command bar0?
I never thought about that, kinda neat IMHO.
Have you found the clock trick in the date book? You can touch the date with your finger or sylus, and the time will apear, just make sure you drag either off, and not just lift or it will laucnch the menu too.

GM I never looked into Takephone much, I am fix'n to dive in to it.

Thansk for all the usefull info y'all, matt

Yeah, Shimon always posts the latest build at the top of the beta page. TP is a complex and powerful application. It will take some time to get to know it. Many people are initially frustrated by the complexities (me included), but after some time and customizing, its rewards are many. Also, Shimon is an incredibly responsive author and often posts a new build right after a bug report. Also, the gargantuan TakephOne thread is loaded with information. You may also want to spend a little time with the manual--very helpful.

Oh, also download the Dialer Extension. It will allow you to highlight any number from within any app and dial it (like mark'n'dial did). Don't forget to enable it.

Unless I have missed something only having my Treo 600 since mid-December; I really miss (from my Sidekick) being able to go directly back to the top of a web page or to the bottom without having to press the 5-way over and over.

Better yet would be to be able to loop around from the bottom to the top or vice versa.

I know there are some programs that let you scroll with the volume keys but that is not the same or as fast as jumping directly back.

Clock pop looks good. I hope it will not conflict with MegaClock.

I wear a watch but I am always looking for the clock on the Treo no matter what app I am in. A habit from the SideKick I suppose. The clock was always in the upper right.

Maybe Snapper Mail is the answer but I hate having to open each and every email in Sprint's PCS Mail program to delete it. Another thing I really miss from the SideKick, easy email deletion.

Too much to hope we would ever see OTA syc or updates like the SideKick.

But I am far more happy with my Treo 600 than I ever was with the SideKick.

I have a few more but everything is a compromise.

Does Dialer Extension work on its own or do you need to use it with TP?

I don't wear a watch so I am really dependent upon the Treo 600 as a timekeeper. Having the clock available in the differerent applications on the Sidekick and during a phone call was a real convenience. With the Treo, you either have to toggle to a menu, i.e. Active Call during a phone call or click on HOME to get the current time..

You really should check out ClockPop5. It doesn't tie up a hard button. Rather it peaceably co-exists with whatever else you have assigned to the button. Press and release, get your normal app. Press and hold, get the time. And you don't lose your place in whatever app you had open when you use it.

I must use it a dozen times a day, and find it very reliable and stable, and easy to use. (Did I mention it's free?)
