Just thought I'd post this for someone else that might run into this problem. I started receiving http 503 errors no matter what site that I attempted to visit. Calling sprint, he walked me through swapping my ip addresses and clearing the browser cache. Swapping the ip address requires two different passcodes that you will have to call and get. This was the only solution that actually worked. I had already tried clearing the cache, resetting the phone etc... All other Internet aware applications worked fine except the browser. Turns out that even though you don't specify one in the browser settings, sprint uses a proxy for all the browser traffic and something got hung up at the server.
