    I found this site:

    http://www.reqwireless.com/emailviewer.html

A java email program that lets you send and receive your Hotmail email. I haven't test it, but as soon as I do I'll let you know if it works.
I've never owned a "regular" phone, and never will.

Handspring Visorphone, Handspring Treo 180, Handspring Treo 600, PalmOne Treo 650....

It works! It really works! It's the second day that I have Java on my Treo and I already found a killer program!

Very easy to use. Open the program, go to accounts and create a new one. Enter your hotmail address, then theres a box that asks if its a pop or hotmail account. check the one that says hotmail. Enter your account name(your email address with-out the @hotmail.com) and your password. You can choose to view you email in text or html.

That's it. You can click on get new email. It'll take you to you mail folder, where you can view all of you email folders. click on any of them and then click on any message to view it.

Why not just browse to http://mobile.msn.com/hm/folder.aspx ?

    Works for me.

I know nothing about the java stuff, but am quite interested. I won't have my treo for another few weeks still in order to try anything myself. I was just wondering if it would allow something like Agile Messenger to be run on the treo 600? My friend has it on his Nokia and it's really great.

I agree, all I did was go to the Handspring portal, then "more", then "hotmail" then I bookmarked it. seems simple with no added programs.

    This is free
    At the phone go to
    http://mobile.msn.com/hm/folder.aspx
    Inter you passport

    or

    Try the Mobil web site.
    Go to msn.com
    Under Technology
    Go mobile

    http://mobile.msn.com

You have to give you phone number and they will sent yo a code to put in.

There you can setup you home page instant messages and stuff.
    From phone del all cookies

Then on you phone go to
    htt://mobile.msn.com/wml/
    This will ask you passport.
    And will set a cookie
Then you can get hotmail, msn messenger, and links to what you set up from you computer.

I just learned this my trial and error so share the knowledge.
It’s not as nice as yahoo but what do you expect from Bill Gates, I shore it works better on a windows CE device.

Right..I was thinking the same thing, only I use Yahoo's mobile site. IS there any practical difference in just navigating to the Mobile site with your browser and using their mobile html pages?
If it doesn't have a slot for SDHC--I don't want it. Period.

No problem Gfunk, navigate to the folder that you installed the webshere micro environment, open the bin folder and look for a file called jartoprc_w run the file, the program has a dialogue box that lets you browse for a 'JAR' or 'JAD' file. After you navigate to the appropriate file click on the Generate PRC file button on the bottom right hand side of the window. Hotsync the generated prc file to your treo.

so it sounds like this is a standalone email client...besides the ability to work with Hotmail, how does the app compare to Snappermail? does it work with Docs To Go sending and receving attachments? how about being recognized as the default client? automatic polling?

No I wouldn't call this an email client per se, but a very souped-up and powerful email veiwer (as the name implies! ) which allows you to view your http based mail acct very fast and in a desktop like UI. You can't set it up to poll or anything, but it's a great tool if you want to simply log on and check your hotmail... much, much faster than using http://mobile.msn.com/hm/folder.aspx on blazer. This is a great solution for those who want to check their hotmail acct w/o having to forward them to a secondary IMAP acct like fastmail or something...
