Wow I forgot about this site. Just so the guy doesn't get bombarded with make this for me and what not, you can click on the above link and make it say whatever you want. Yes, it's a computer voice, but it's funny to make it say whatever you want. You can save it in a wav file.
Now that I'm trying out Gifstartup program and it inserts voice into the startup function, I was wondering if someone would post instructions on how to save a New Text to Speech as a wav file to be imported into the Treo.

I did it once sometime ago, but can't remember now.

    Thanks

Did it say something important? I'd sure like to know how to get an mp3 or a wav to play as a ringtone.

    You'll want to use Lightwav.

What I use is "Text Aloud MP3" It can convert ANY text or TXT file into a WAV or MP3.

If anyone is interested in beta testing, just reply to this thread...We'll need both Treo 300 and Treo 600 folks (CDMA and GSM). The Treo 300 doesn't support .wav or .mp3 files...but we are considering writing a decoder to enable wav files on the Treo 300 (it will most likely depend on the demand from Treo 300 owners).

By the way, you've got a great voice, Rob!
What is this application that youve sent out to beta test. Havent seen much since Feb. Looks like a good idea for an app, is there a problem?

Hey GeekMom did you figure out how to save the wav?
You have to check the box below it which says: Display a link for the audio file. Once you click on Speak it will show you a link of the wav file which you can then right click and save as....

I too think it is an excellent idea...I don't mind Hal, but a female voice would be great too. So when are you going to make it? Will you post it?

    Thanks!
