Sticky means that the thread stays on top. If it wasnt sticky you would have had to search for it.

There is so much, its hard to wade through it when you don't know where to start.

Now, can someone tell me what "sticky" means (see, I just am so clueless right now.....).

    Thanks!

As far as the file system, install freeware FileZ. This should really be standard for all users. Also you can use the Treo camera for Mobloging, taking snapshots, wallpaper, picturemail, email attachments via email etc. I personally use Resco as my defualt viewer. Do a search for more info on these topics...

P.S. The Webviewer thread has a great how-to on how to install the Websphere J2ME on the Treo600. It's not a spefic app or fix, but perhpas worthy of mention here...
Thanks for all the good stuff coming in. I appreciate the help.

Some feedback on the suggestions - I have read the user guide and find it useful as a quick tour of the functions of the treo but "Making a call" is not that complex and the guide never seems to go below this level. I have installed apps like FileZ, but this only made me realise that I do not understand what it shows me. I need info about the Palm OS/filing system to be able to use FileZ and this is where I get into difficulty.

I will follow the links and see it takes me.

Yes, the drive crash and data loss killed all the T/C links. The admins restored the system back to March, which had a very outdated list, as I had completely overhauled the list after their March backup.

I have no plans to either restore the most current list or to re-locate each and every link and repair the mess made by the T/C data loss. If someone else wants to do all the work, I'm happy to lend whatever help I can, though I cannot imagine what that help might be. I created the list one entry at a time and updated it whenever I had a few free minutes, so it was never a very large commitment of time for me. Restoring it will take too long and the crash has taken some of the wind out of my sails. It was cool while it lasted. (I was appalled that T/C did not keep current backups. IMO, this was irresponsible.) Sorry that I can't just fix it in just a few minutes, but it really would take some time.

I am hoping that the admins will still be able to restore the current data at the time of the crash and perhaps that might make it much easier for me to fix this. I'll hope for that, but in the meantime there's really nothing I can do.

As for Qset, I think your best bet is a search.

I have to agree regretfully. The crash has definitely put a damper on the forum IMO and I really haven't been interested in posting that much around here until (or if) the forums are ever restored...

Anyway, I've posted Qset below for all those interested none-the-less...

Just noticed that the Qset download link is now working and at least one other T/C download link is working again, though most T/C links are still dead. It seems that maybe some of the old links have been restored by the admins. Even if they restore all the dead links on the list from February (that's the one that's now posted), I still could not spend the time to recover 2 months of updates I added in March and April.

Sure would appreciate more regular updates from those guys on what they've accomplished with this recovery (last update was Saturday.) And I really do hope they manage to get Arpil data merged back into these boards.

Hey, you can add Profeo 600 Lite to the list. I "think" I am the author of this program. As some people have mentioned in few other threads, it is a combination of simple radio on/off control and screen/keyboard backlight control with scheduling, with ambitions to become a profile manager someday in the future, if my life of a gradudate student allows this. :-)
It is available for download at
    http://www.freewebs.com/nachon/treo600software.htm
Currently, a separate light control and radio control utilities are also available from the same page.

There will be no further updates to the list, unless T/C restores the April data. Please read my last two posts.

    What is qset?

Anyone know of a free clock application for the Treo600 that just displays a clock when in the cradle?

Since the outage of the TC forums I have made most of the Treo specific applications mentioned in this thread available at http://mytreo.net/downloads - please drop by, have a look around, and register for the forums (which are backed-up weekly )

Also, if anybody can help point me towards any Treo utilities that I have missed out, or have been unable to find, then your help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks all!

You're a prince! Only had a quick look, but from what I've seen, real nice job! There are a lot of utilities that were knocked out by the T/C data loss that are not in the T/C March backup. I'll post what's missing so you can add them to your site. Just give me some time and I'll get to it ASAP. Thanks for the great work. (Still hoping that Marcus can recover the lost data.)

Hi Elysian, thank you for your kind words and your offer to help find the missing Treo apps. I hope it will prove useful to have all "Treo specific" applications in one place so that they are easy for everyone to find.

I'm currently updating the downloads database so that it will flag the compatible Treo models for each download. I have tons more ideas for the website too - my only limitation is how fast I can type!

Also, I'm on the lookout for any contributions (articles, reviews, FAQs, help with entering new downloads etc) to mytreo.net - please drop me an email if you'd like to help out.

PS Ive found that the google cache is useful for searching the "lost posts"

For starters here is "Replacement Fonts." Find it here: http://discuss.treocentral.com/showt...placement+font

Also, I also noticed that you are missing several from the list (March backup) that is currently posted; e.g., TreoNavSet, Volkeys and others.
