    In order, IMHO:

Backup Buddy -- you need this, just get it
    Agendus
HS Mail app -- comes with GSM, free download for Sprint
    Documents 2 Go
Call Filter -- no more annoying calls when you don't want them
    Directory Assistant -- great tool
PTunes -- ahhh, a little music for the ride
Backgammon -- What, like you don't have a game or two on yours?

That's about it for mandatory downloads for me ... looking forward to others must haves ... (besides the JJ/SB38 wallpaper)

I got my Docs 2 Go and Agendus from Handango.com

Backgammon and Backup Buddy from freeware.com

    The mail app from pa1mOne

PTunes (I have the deluxe version so I can get shoutcast) from normsoft.com (I think)

Directory Assist and Call Filter from links at Treo Central. Do a search and you will find them pretty easily.

Same for the JJ/SB38 wallpaper ...

    Good luck ... Tom

    • HiLauncher (great!)
    • one of the many apps available to disable the space bar when calls are inbound (must have - solves a VERY annoying problem)
    • shadow (lists/memos/thought organization)
    • snapperMail
    • find hack (great!)
    • Clip Pro (great!)
    • Uninstall Manager
    • Hand RSS or AvantGo (Something to read news etc. quickly, even when vision is not available)
    • key caps 600 (makes typing on the keyboard that much more efficient)
    • AQUA phone skin (sooooo much nicer than the default dial pad look)
    • Bob's Alarm
    • treo600SMS (since i can't seem to get SMS working w/o it)
    • TextPlus (another way to speed up data entry w/ the keyboard)
    • finger dial
    • Chatter (gotta have something for IM)
    • callFilter (great for forwarding calls when my treo is on the charger in the back room)
    • BackupMan (don't trust a hotsync for 100% backup)
    • SplashID and SplashPhoto

    Okay here's some of mine:

    Hi-Launcher Best one-handed launcher, IMHO

Tealmaster (OS 5 compabile hack manager)
    Hacks:
CorrectHack (allows one to automatically replace text; so 'btw' becomes 'by the way', etc.) There is an OS 5 app from the same company--Textras--that's supposed to do this, but I found that it didn't work as well.

Clockpop (tho' this is less necessary since Hi-Launcher ver 2.0)

Today - Like the "Today" view on PPC

    Bookworm (best word game)

    HS Mail

Chatter (only push IMAP email + IM)

    BigClock - Clock/Timer/Alarm

FileZ - great free file manager

KeyCaps600 - vastly improves keyboard functionality

Minutes PLUS - great freeware phone minutess tracker

TreoHelper - control the phone after resets, etc

    Regards,
    --Mathew

It's basically a front end to 555-1212.com, a telephone directory site. Let's you make a query, displays the results, dial to phone or it pipes the data to Mapquest for a map display or driving directions. Nice interface and respects the 5 way nav on the Treo600.
