Does the Sprint 1.20 updater have anything to do with the speed? I haven't updated after reading all the horror stories on here, but now I'm getting tempted. My speed is pitiful--16 kbit/sec.

Okay, this is weird. I just did the speed test again five minutes later and it went from 16 kbit/sec to 89 kbit/sec.

Sprint Data (10 bucks a month, unlimited) rocks, plain and simple. Now, if you travel outside the US a lot, that's another story. Need GSM for that. Hopefully fast GSM data speeds (and reasonable pricing) are coming soon. Cross your fingers. But for now, for my needs, Sprint is the freakin' cat's meow.

My electronic ***** is HUGE. Now the other one, well, I'll refer you to my wife on that subject....

Ok, but what kind of data service plan does everybody have?

I was using the T-Mo free WAP plan and was seeing 30Kb/s until a week or two ago when T-Mo apparently started crippling their free service.

I'm waiting for T-Mo to provision my T-zones service. What can I expect?
Mobile speed test for the free wap reported less the 4Kb/sec or timed out every time I've tried in the past couple days.

She's too busy moaning to post any messages :-).

For those who are interested, I just got provisioned with T-Zones $4.99 and speed is back up to 30Kbps.

Free WAP is effectively hit or miss on performance. Just enough to tease you.
