Had a bad expererience with the usually courteous Orange. Reported the lost calls thing which seems to be happening on this unit and, frankly, they won't believe it. If you call them they'll insist you send the unit in for analysis - that's Orange-speak for 'liar'! As the UK's only source of these phones they are seemingly unable and unwilling to support its shortcomings ... or even import a supply of accessories. Think hard before you buy one from Orange.

I cannot believe that Vodafone et al still have no plans to stock the Treo 600. Have Orange signed an exclusivity deal???

As I understand it, Orange have a 6 month exclusive deal, then the gloves are off.

On one hand I am extremely dissapointed that Orange have no accessories for the Treo.

On the other hand, it forces me to buy them cheaper from the US ( This is working on the assumption that they will cost a small fortune here, which isn't much of a guess)

Ageed, but I would like the option to buy from Orange.

Ebay is a good source also.

Have you noticed that USA users on Sprint don't seem to have SMS built in at the moment ? great shame as I find the T600 the best yet for SMS.

If you watch TV checkout :

It's great, it works on the T600 and at 15 per year it good value. Good old Auntie Beeb also lets you try it for 14 days FOC.

I could not get the remote control to work, the test program actual crashed the Treo

I had a play with Omni Remote for Palms and that worked, but I think the Treo has got a low power IR as the range was only about 3 feet.

Yes it does list Sky. Basically if you tell it you use sky it then lists all the programs ie BBC1 on 101 etc.
There are a few minor channels missing but all the main ones are there plus a lot of the minor ones.

I've found these guys very good for accessories in the UK. I was suprised Orange UK don't do anything - they seemed to do quite a bit for the Microsoft SmartPhone they were selling...
