    I recall reading some posts that said Handspring was providing Pocket Tunes at no cost when you purchased a Treo 600.

    Is this true, or am I way off base?

    Also, if true, does it only apply to Treo's purchased directly from Handspring?

    Yeah it's true. There is a link on the cd-rom that came packaged with your treo to register your treo and get a couple of free software apps one of them being Pocket tunes the either was a game I think.
    Doesn't matter whether you got it directly from HS or not, I don't think.

    I purchased my Treo from Sprint and got Pocket Tunes for free (basic).

    Me = Nokia 5170/Palm III > Kyocera 6035 > Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 700p > Treo 755p > Treo Pro > Palm Pre

    Wife = Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 755p > Palm Centro > Palm Pixi

    The other free program is a game called ATUM. This is what I chose because I bought P-tunes b4 I got my 600 to get in on the life time free updates.
