I received my Krusell Treo 600 case this morning from Executive PDA. My first impressions are, it rocks! It's so much better than the Handspring form fitting case. One thing I noticed right away, and this may be because it's brand new, but the clear plastic on the front of the case seems much clearer than that of the Handsrping case.

My only complaint so far is that it is a little difficult to remove the stylus when using this case. I'm using the Sprint version of the Treo 600 and do have any problem with it fitting properly. I also do not like how the zipper pull (not sure what you call it) just kind of hangs there on the side. I've owned Krusell cases before and this is always the case, guess I'm just not used to it yet.

One other complaint. There is no opening for the SD slot. Since the case opens from the bottom, you actually need to remove the phone from the case the change cards. I only use one SD card so for me this is not an issue but I could see it becoming one for people who swap cards alot.

To answer some questions I know people have.

    1. The clip is easily removed. The case can be used with the belt clip or without.
    2. There are cut outs everywhere there should be (camera, power button, side buttons, even the reset hole.)
    3. The case covers the entire phone. Except for the cut outs nothing is exposed.
    4. The clear plastic covers the entire front, this includes the keyboard and screen.
    5. The case doesn't come with the belt clip. It should be ordered separately. This is one of the nice things about Krusell cases. You can choose from several different belt clip options and they all work with the case. Just make sure if you plan to carry the case on your belt when you go to order it you also add on a belt clip.

    Here are some pictures.

The HS case is decent. But it hangs too far off the belt. Does this one have the same problem?

I'd say it hangs off the belt about the same way as the Handspring version. They both use almost identical clips/studs so the distance is about the same. I don't find it a problem.

Hopefully this helps with how far the phone hangs away from the belt. Here's a shot of the Krusell on my belt and one of the Handsrping as well. I think you can see from the pictures they are about the same.

Nice looking case and great review. One question though, how's the stylus input on the screen through the plastic? I do alot of spreadsheet data entry so it can be difficult enough w/o any covering. I assume simple menu clicks and so forth are ok but will it pose a problem for more precise screen input, like spreadsheet, tiny to do check boxes, diddlebug, etc. ?

Yes, this is certainly one of the drawbacks to this case. It is difficult, not impossible though, to use the stylus very precisely with this case. It seems to be tougher than with the Handspring case. Reason being, the Krusell case's clear plastic covers the entire front of the Treo. Since it does so, it's kind of stretched very tight across the front. It's almost as if it leaves a very small gap between the plastic and the screen forcing you to have to press slightly harder than normal.

I am willing to trade this minor complaint for full screen protection.

    Hope this make sense.

    I'm sold.

Where do I buy it? any place cheaper than executivepda (and closer to the west coast)?

I don't know anyone other than Executive PDA who is selling them, sorry. Not to say that another seller doesn't exist, I just don't know of them.

Does the plastic cover interfere at all with the use of the 5-way button? I would think it would be a little more difficult to use, since the plastic is streched faily tightly across the front.

does it have a hole for the headset jack?
  12.    #12
Yes, the plastic does make the 5-way navigation button harder to use. However, like the stylus pressing, it's not a big enough challenege to make me give up the case.

Yes, there is a cut out for the headset jack. There are no cut outs missing on this case. If something needs/warrants a cut it, it's got it.

The only cutout I can't find on mine is for the microphone, but it really doesn't matter--might not even be needed!

Ordered one last night. Thanks for the great review and answering my questions. Looks like my ideal case. #1 priority was added bulk and this looks like it fits the bill.

mine arrived as well, the case is much better than handspring's feeble effort - fit and consttruction are excellent. However, the plastic on the front makes the screen extremely difficult to use. I have removed the clip attachment from the back so now it sits flat and is easier to fit in your pocket, it came off easily without spoiling the case

Yes, the plastic on the Krusell case is thicker or tighter than that of the Handspring making it a little tougher to press the screen with the stylus.

That's the beauty of the Krusell clip. It's meant to be removed easy as well as being able to use the clip with many of their clip holders.

I like that the Krusell case doesn't crowd in on the keys like some of the other cases do, but I have one concern: the earpiece. Is there no hole, or do you easily hear through the plastic?

yes, there is a hole for the earpiece.

I got mine this weekend. Very nice. But biggest complaint so far is that I feel like I can't use my stylus..i have to press pretty hard on the plastic cover to reach the touchscreen..feels like i'm going to stretch the plastic or even put a hole in it...

I like mine a lot. I took a dremel to the zipper, making it a flat smooth surface that I painted black. I also took a razor to the label and treads on the clip platform on the back (removing it), so it is now a bit slimmer. I also had to shave off the top of my HD card with a dremel because it kept popping out. Possibly because of the snug fit of the case on top.
