    With the threads I've been reading on Treo Central and with the problems I've experienced with Cingular Treo 600, it has been very helpful and has alleviated some of the frustration that I would normally experience with being an early adopter of an all-in-one PDA. Although it is helpful that we are posting our experiences on TreoCentral in using the device, we really won't benefit if the manufacturer of the device is not aware of these problems that are reproducible and affects a groups of users. I'm going start e-mailing problems I''m experiencing (Treo phantom resets, lock ups, etc) to Handspring Product Support.

    EDIT: The only disclaimer I could find on Handspring's website is:
    "*** Cingular-branded Treo 600s have been optimized for use on the Cingular Wireless network. Customers who use Cingular-branded Treo 600s on other GSM/GPRS network may not receive optimal voice reception or data speed."

    I reported "soft reset/crash" problem to Handspring via e-mail support and received following as part of their response:

    Is that the only problem you are having? Have you had any other problems like the ones listed in this forum? I think I'm glad I am waiting for the TMO unit.

    It mainly having to do hard resets through out the day. I haven't been able to narrow down the offending app yet.

    One of the biggest hard-reset apps I have seen on this site is the AOL client. I got rid of that and everything was okay.

    I would also suggest any other user installed app that requires any type or wireless data access.

    Hey there....GT...a familiar "face"...how have you been doing with your Treo, any of the bug-a-boos that others have been recently reporting about resets/lockups?
