I tried downloading the palm vnc program from palmone's site and the "pnfi virus" was found on the download.
what's more, suddenly I can no longer connect with the internet explorer.
is this pnfi virus a serious concern or is it just a glitch?
im hoping I didn't download something that disables my explorer connection!

I searched all of www.palmone.com for "vnc" and got zero hits.

Can you provide a link to the software you tried to download?

Searched a little further - there is a palmVNC but it is not on Palm's or Handspring's site - palmgear, perhaps.

I downloaded it from PalmGear. Yep, it has that virus in it. Cleaned it with Norton Antivirus and using it fine now.

You can get PalmVNC 2.0.5 directly here.

I'm sure that version has the virus as well (probably the same version he uploaded to PalmGear). I've emailed the author, as he probably didn't know he was infected with the virus when he compiled the app.

Actually, I've just realized, that when you download from PalmGear, it actually downloads it directly from the authors site (not palmgear)
