    I just got email from Sears that my order is cancelled because SANDISK is no longer in stock at Montclair store. I just placed store pick up order from West Covina Plaza.

    I just got the reciept email stating that my order has been processed ~~~

    A friend of mine ordered online chose the 'pickup in store' option.

    He just go an email saying they cancelled his order because none are available at any store around here (even though the web site SAID there were some)

    Luckily he may be able to re-order today and just have it mailed.

    yea, just ordered mine for pick-up. don't know how long though, but

    http://www.pricewatch.com 's best price on this was $147 with shipping & they usually have the best price so I know this is a steal.

    thanks for posting this sale.

    btw, when I purchased for in-store pick-up, it said that they'd send e-mail to tell me when it would be available. this seems to tell me that I wouldn't lose my order because they will send me e-mail when they get it (cross fingers).

    Thanks for the heads up. My local Sears had one left in stock. Within 5 minutes of reading this post, I picked one up. It works great.

    that's odd, here's what they told me:
    Unfortunately, your order has been delayed. We expect your order to be shipped on 12/09/03. We apologize for any invconvenience this may cause.
    (and so on).....

    Weird that you got a completely different response.

    Everyone that gets an email stating their item is ready to be picked up might want to make a phone call to sears to check first.

    I got an email ealier today saying that I could pickup my card anytime so I went during lunch and the guy at the merchandise pickup area said they didnt have any cards. He also said that just an hour before me some other guy had come in to pick one up and they didnt have any for him either. When I asked why I got an email he said "I think their system is messed up."

    I remember now why I don't buy anything from Sears. I'm amazed they are still in business, they seem to have the worst customer service. What a waste of time...

    This just happened to me!!! I'm trying to get answers now. I'll update when I figure things out (or when THEY do!)

    And me too...

    Not a very good way to do business. It took them 45 minutes to figure out they didn't have it. They did re-order it for me and I will pick it up on 12/11 (hopefully). Oh well, it's still a really great deal that I'm happy to be able to take advantage of.

    Did they actually charge it or did they just put a hold (or whatever it is called) on the funds? They havenít officially charged my card yet but they did reserve the money even though they donít have the card...

    I'm about ready to cancel the order and report it as a fraudulent charge. If they have already lied to me once about my order being ready how can I trust them next time they tell me it is ready? I don't have time to drive there everyday just to have them tell me how messed up their own system is.

    i was gpoing to order this for pickup on the last day this was available, but stopped thinking that they would not have it by the end.

    for those who are picking up now, are you still being charged just the $100?

    The price you pay is the price it was when you ordered it, not picked it up. Therefore any orders placed on or before 12/2 would be $100. When you order it online they process your credit card online right away and you are charged whatever the current price is, no matter when your scheduled pickup date is.

    Not in my case.

    They simply cancelled my order. Period.

    I watched my credit card account online, they charged my card then took the charge off.

    Then after the sale was over they sent me an email that the store that I was supposed to pick it up from was out of the product and cancelled the order.

    I am not happy.

    So I bought it online tuesday, cuz it said it was in stock, went for lunch, no cards. "The system hasn't reflected sales over the weekend" (whatever) So I went back to work, and found a store WAY down in Miami, called them, they said they had them. I ordered online(tuesday)... after the first one cancelled, I got my email tonight(thursday) to come get it.
    Yada yada, I got it. I'm formatting it now in the Treo....

    Their online ordering/inventory is seriously lacking. I ordered the first 9am, about 11:50pm I got my email 'processing'.. at least it was still 12/2!

    Thanks sears, at least I got it, for 99 bucks, yeeeaaaaa merry xmas to me!

    I'm done buying things for this phone til after the holidays, sheesh
