    Hello!

I'm looking for a sould kind enough to give away an SD card for my lonely TREO 600. I'm a desperate, broke college student who can't fully use 600's capabilities due to my economic situation. Or you can sell it to me for cheap. Or as a christmas present.

Education...does it really pay off in the long run?

Go to Walmart. They have a 128 MB SD card made by Impact. NO matter what the listed price is on the shelf, take it to a register and have them price chack it. For the last couple of days at least it has been coming up as $23.

Staples (at least in my area) has the 32 MB Sandisk Cruzer (A 32 MB SD card in a portable USB Reader/Writer) on clearance for $17.50 You will need a reader/writer as the hotsync takes forever for even a single mp3 transfer. This thing is basically a USB SD reader/writer with a free 32 MB Sandisk SD card. You can use it with higher MB SD memory you buy.

Go out on Black Friday and you should be able to pick up a SD card for a good price. Best Buy is supposedly going to have a SanDisk 256MB card for $50, most likely after rebate.

Well, obviously you've never been to college. It's quite hard to do the job thing while in college. Trust me, I've done it, 18 units plus a 25+ hour a week job and a 15 hour a week internship. My grades showed it. I would have a no qualms sending you a SD card but being a recently graduated cash strapped person my self, I sure wouldn't mind having someone send me a SD card either.

Oh yeah, to the guy above, you're one of those that I lovingly refer to as a Treo N....haha...not going ther actually.

Now, now Handless - no need to get nasty! By the way, It's gal not guy and apparently in your young life you do not realize that others HAVE struggled & worked their tails off with school, family, multi jobs etc. I know what it is to tough things out..Some of us have had a hard time making sure that food is on the table and would not be so worried about a memory card for an item that is totally extravagant in the first place (especially if you have very little money-I guess everyone sets their priorities...)
Anyway, no hard feelings. I love gadgets as much as anyone does and wish you all the best with yours!

    Hey "Gen",

I apologize! I thought you were scamming us but now I realize you are sincere.
Good Luck! Happy T-Day! I know I have a lot to be thankful for.

The material in this list of posts is interesting to me in light of the gifts Bill Gates and other billionaires give.

They don't give to techies, they give to like poor people in far away countries that will never use their love for technical stuff.

Not to judge them, but it is fascinating to me.

In the same vein, it is amazing to me how difficult it is to fund technological companies here in the US. I mean, if what separates us from Zaire is our love of technology, why do we treat technology companies like dirt?

Maybe the survival of the fittest...or maybe we are headed into a "has been" and we will also end up as a quasi European socialistic society.
