There are already some threads floating about on how to replace that annoying splash screen (the one you get when you turn on/off wireless mode). This is for Orange branded phones.

To replace it, simply locate the bmp file:
    For Swiss Orange, it's AEU_OrangeCH_bitmaps.prc

I'm guessing that for UK and France Orange it will be something similar.

Backup your Treo and Copy the file to your SD card first!

Now, simply download the attached file and rename it to exactly the same name as your old file (the one you copied to your SD card).

    Install this file.

Goodbye horrible Orange logo (some may like it...)

FYI - there's nothing inherently special about the Orange logo resource Vs. that of any other Treo.

Uploading any Phone_XXXX.prc to your phone will overwrite the default carrier logo no matter which carrier you use or which language you're using.

Here's a link on the subject:

    nzmoko,

    Did I screw up?

Are the Orange phone really different? Have you tried the standard method?

    Best,
    Derek.

    Hi Derek.

You are indeed correct... I tried it once and the file wasn't recognised. It worked the second time.

    Thanks for the info

I just hotsync'd the phone_xxx.prc and now have the standard Handspring 'Welcome/Goodbye' screens.

This file seems to have overwritten the original (french) Orange screens.

    Bye,
