Does the Treo600 keyguard prevent all audible alerts?

Any workaround? This kills a lot of nice functionality of alarm apps (like ACT! for Palm) if there is no audible chime.

This is something I would like to know as well. I use my PDA for an alarm clock whether on the road or at home. I just moved from a Palm Pilot to a Treo 600, and am getting up late because of this issue! hehe. It is a problem.

Keyguard sucks... try this program instead. It doesn't block alarms.

I have no problem with keyguard. Make sure sound is on, when I got mine the preferences/sound/volume was set to off. You can also disable the keyguard.
My Treo has more memory than I do.
