Does SSH even apply to remote control programs? I think they use their own proprietary encryption.

Are you worried about people hacking your vnc session?

Im using palm vnc to connec to SCO, Solaris and WinXP boxes without issues.

Now if your refering to only being able to connect to the box through a SSH telnet session then setup a WIN box and use PUTTY or someother freeware SSH telnet client, then put Real VNC on that win box and connect through it . I do that on several boxes.
