I am looking for a hack that will force the TREO to stay ON until i say turn off. I am typing into the treo with an expandable keyboard mainly to take notes from stuff I am reading and I my take longer than 3 mins in between typing stuff in and TREO shut off automatically after 3 mins (longest time allowed for auto shut off function).

I am needing something that will allow me to keep TREO on for as long as I need it and not shut off after 3 mins of no use.

Try AlwaysOn. It's a free utility and you can DL it at www.palmgear.com. Don't know if it works on the Treo though. There is a comment by one user that says it does not work on Treos but it could have been a problem related specifically to his Treo (other software, different model, etc...). So YMMV and use at your own risk...

This program does what you want and it's easy to use, plus it's free. I use it with my Treo 600.

    Here's the web page:

On the left side of this page select PalmOS™ enabled devices, which will take you to the page where you can download AutoOff.

I read that post fast, but maybe it wasn't there when I was composing the letter.
